assignment. Students were given the guides at the onset. The guides were attached to their
completed work and used for evaluation purposes.

Students were required to:
complete the performance assessment.
present their findings to the class on posters or PowerPoint/Claris
slide show.
create a food product label for an orange.
do a library/web search and write an essay describing another vitamin
deficiency disease including vitamin, symptoms, where it was and perhaps is still a
problem, who discovered the cause of the disease and when. This would be for extra credit.
