Describe, in narrative form, the actions of students and teachers and the interactions among and between students and teachers, including how the learning experience:
Supports student progress toward attainment of the learning standards
Reflects current scholarship in your field and "best" classroom practice
Using 400+ Ways to Show What You Know encourages students to use their learning styles and interests to apply biology to new situations.
Incorporates technology (when used) into instruction to enhance learning and to assess student performance
Some of the ways to show what you know involve the use of computer technology--particularly Internet and multimedia. This year I am adding ideas that make use of the new gel electrophoresis equipment and CBL equipment that we have purchased. I am also working with a math teacher to explore ways to incorporate more mathematics and use the vocabulary that math teachers would use in their classes.
